so i know that i have been a little behind in my posts...my last one being in June of last year...xD i know i know...slacker!! so much has just happened since then that i dunno really where to start! Here is a quick whirlwind of the main events that have transpired from then til now.... In October 09 went back to Taiwan with my mom and aunt for a 2 week vacation...only to have to go back again during Thanksgiving for my Grandmother's funeral.. :( Then worked all through Christmas and New Year's flying to Shanghai back to back for a bit. Got sick really bad for almost two weeks in January (really thought i had caught the swine flu eek but just turned out to be really bad influenza like symptoms) but somehow managed to take my mom and justin out for their birthdays before crashing out for another week...one of my gf's turned 30 this year and she cruised along it very well...hey 30 is the new 20! I turn 28 this year...can't believe how freakin' fast time flies!! Flew to Shanghai during the Lunar Chinese New Year and realized how deserted it was...because that is the time when family members gather together at home...well i was far far away from home with only my crew members to call my family i guess over the new years lol.
Now it brings me up to date to March...been so tired lately...guess the whole flying to Shanghai is taking it's toll on me...really does mess up your time clock alot! i just feel like by the time i come home from a trip i don't want to do anything and i space out for a day or two...then when i realize ugh i have to clean up it's time to fly out again! so my desk has started to grow a big pile of random receipts, papers, rotations, tags, mail, etc...and clothes everywhere! i need to stay more organized but every time i try i just lose focus...that is not good!!! focus!!! focus!!!
My last trip to Shanghai was pretty interesting...i wasn't suppose to go but one of my friends could not make her commute flight out so she asked me if i could take the trip for her. We had some other flight attendant friends that were non revving on the flight so they could shop lol. They bought so much stuff it was crazy...darn shopaholics!!! i swear the two days that i was out with them i barely had a chance to eat...and i was so tired the second day that i just passed out when i got back to the hotel. xD totally missed out on getting my massage! While they were at one of the purse shops at the AP Market, we met a man who was from Accra, Ghana. That was pretty interesting because he kind of a long way from home xD. Well, he was there buying up some bags so that he could take back to Ghana to sell. We told him that we fly that route so we might go visit him and he said he would be more than happy to show us around and gave us his business card. His name, he explained, was Kojo, but that it was a very common name, so if we were to go there and say his name, maybe like 10 ppl on the street might turn and think you are calling them haha. In Ghana, when you are born, you already have a name. The name is the day that you were born, so Kojo means, born on a Monday. I thought that was pretty interesting.
i'm going back on Monday and thinking to bring my mom, but that depends if she can get on the flight! eek...another 5 day trip and i'll be off for a few more days! can't wait!
